Abstract

Three-dimensional baroclinic hydrodynamic model with free surface (Zilberstein et al, 2000) is used for the calculation of sea level and currents. Three-dimensional structure of currents in the basin can solve a number of environmental problems of coupled with the simulation of various pollutants. The main parameters of the model are descibed as well as the examples of calculations in comparison with field observation data.

Maximal total surface currents possible at one time per 100 years calculated by INFOMAR technology. Barents Sea South-Eastern part.
Maximum (left) and minimum per 100 years Sea Levels in the Caspian Sea Northern part calculated by INFOMAR technology vs the MSL.
Suspened Organic Matter/Oil film Index and Sea Surface Radiation Temperature  Average spatial distribution estimated on base satellite remote sensing in January, 2004.
